Skin issues can have a variety of cause and triggers. For some it may be a sensitivity or intolerance to dairy or gluten, for others it could be allergies, environmental triggers or simply just the natural process of ageing.
However even though these factors are important to consider like almost anything when it comes to our health what we put into our bodies can make a drastic difference to the quality of our health and this is of course no different when it comes to our skin.
What we eat often ends up being shown on our face (not literally of course). Often an over-indulgence in sugary snacks, fast food and other temptations can lead to an insulin response which can lead to breakouts and other skin disorders.

1. Salmon
Salmon, especially wild salmon, is rich in antioxidants. These antioxidants help calm inflammation. As well as being high in Omega 3, a nutrient renowned for its beneficial properties for brain and heart health, Omega 3 also protects the nervous system from the effects of ageing.
The fatty acids in salmon act as building blocks for healthy skin cells and help to keep our skin tone smooth and blemish free.
Since our bodies don't have the ability to produce these fatty acids, eating them helps to reinforce your skin's natural barrier. Thus helping your skin to retain moisture and keep those irritants from the environment out.
2. Green Tea
There are countless benefits of regular green tea consumption and healthy skin is one of them. Green tea contains polyphenols, making it an excellent choice because due to its antioxidant and an anti-inflammatory properties.
